Nicola and Gary’s intimate wedding is likely one I’ll never forget. From their Disney theme and priest-come-clown, to the father daughter dance that transformed into the bridal parties own rendition of Gangnam style, it promised to be one for the books.
On the morning I met with the groom and his party as they gathered in The Bowl Inn, Almondsbury. The boys looked just great in their suits provided by Anne Harding, so we had some fun shots around the Inn before I move on.
The Bride prepared for the big day at her family home in Tockington before heading to St Mary the Virgin in Olveston, where the couple would be wed. The most interesting thing about this wedding was the fact that Nicola and Gary chose to have their reception in Nicola’s family home, Tockington Court; and with it’s large gardens, grande staircase, and sentimental appeal, I can completely understand why.
The Sam Paine Trio performed from the mezzanine, leaving the dance floor free for guests and couples to show off their moves, the flowers and bouquets were provided by Gillian Carey and the transport came in the form of a gorgeous 1920’s car from Vintage Wheels. I think the finishing touches though were really down to the couples attention to detail and use of that instantly recognisable Disney font on their wedding stationary. I loved the inclusion of their dog and hints of their own ‘happily ever after’ that could be seen dotted around the house.

Nicola also sent me a lovely testimonial that I couldn’t resist sharing with you!
“Excellent and stunning. We have been blown away by the quality and sheer amount of beautiful images. Martin managed to capture the entire day as well as natural shots of the majority of our guests. The highlights video was a beautiful finishing touch and a great asset to share via Facebook. It was exceptionally important to us that we got more natural and unusual images and this is really Martin’s expertise area. Martin was exceptionally professional and worked incredibly well with both our dog and our video production team (Mr & Mrs Productions).
If like us, reading a recommendation is not enough then we thoroughly recommend the engagement shoot. This for us reaffirmed the quality and expertise of Martin’s work and his ability to shoot more natural and unusual images. In particular this was useful as both the Groom and Mother of the Bride are exceptionally camera shy. We honestly didn’t think he could have out done these images, until we got our wedding shoot images. We will definitely be looking to use our lifetime membership.”
I’m very pleased to share that their lovely wedding was featured in the latest issue of West Weddings magazine.
