A HUGE thank you to Steph and Steven, who had me photograph their wonderful wedding at Coombe Lodge in Somerset.
Steph and Steven decided to both get ready at Coombe Lodge – which was great because it meant I could photograph both of them getting ready. It was a beautiful celebration and we got really lucky with the weather. It was actually a lovely, lovely day.
Everything seemed remarkably serene and it was great to work with hair make up artist Ellie Hitchens who worked her magic. There was quite a reaction from everyone in the bridal suite as Steph slipped into her beautiful Anne Harding wedding gown.
After the ceremony, drinks were served and Emily Evans played piano throughout the reception. I really love hearing live music at weddings and there’s a beautiful simplicity of having a solo pianist perform. The room was beautifully set up and the tables were named after wine regions. This wasn’t a surprise to me as the groom is a wine lover and a great expert in that field.
The speeches were epic. It was as if they had been professionally written and rehearsed. I especially enjoyed the lovely poem by Steph’s uncle. As usual during the speeches there were so many great moments to capture.
After the first dance the guests kept me busy in the photo booth which always adds extra fun to the wedding reception. It was also fun to get a few more night photos of Steph & Steve which I love whilst the wedding guests were entertain by Dizzy Feet Disco.
