Clevedon Hall in Somerset was a perfect wedding venue for Kate & Owen to tie the knot. Clevedon Hall is a magnificent Victorian mansion and one of the grandest wedding venues in the South West. We started the day at Kate’s parents’ house in Nailsea, where bridesmaids and the bride were pick up by a 1921 vintage Ford from the Triggols’ Vintage cars.
The ceremony was held in the main room which is beautifully lit and there is also viewing balcony which was a great place for my second photographer to get the shoots from a different angle. After the ceremony the guests were mingling on the large lawns, while me and Andrew from Triggols “hijacked” the couple to take some pictures by Clevedon Pier.
Between the speeches and cutting of the cake there was short break and a great opportunity to take some shots just before the sunset. This is my favourite time of the day to photograph as the quality of light is just gorgeous.
Luckily enough there was a festival in Clevedon that night with a fireworks display, so we had some unexpected firework pictures at the end of the night!
“Martin was our wedding photographer at Clevedon Hall and we thought he was fantastic throughout. We have just received our wedding album and it is beautiful – he put a lot of work into the storybook photo layout, and we are really pleased with the result. Many of our guests also said what a friendly photographer he was, and the pre-wedding photo shoot was an excellent way to get to know him and his photography style. Also enjoyed the evening photo booth which gave us some lovely, fun photos from the day. Definitely would recommend for that special touch on your wedding day.” Kate & Owen
